"Popped in" at Lawrence from Longway Moto this afternoon to quickly sort a little problem in the Starcom, like always the friendly and VERY efficient Lawrence and his team had me back on the road in no less than 5 minutes - thank you L.

Whilst there I saw the RT now/soon belonging to Andyman - what a beaut !!! (The bike is currently in Lawrence's showroom)

Congrats Andyman - enjoy en safe riding !!

Andyman will be clocking up

Andyman will be clocking up TAR miles on the RT and  OFF-TAR miles on the 1150GSA.

The 50 00km a year that I do is roughly 50% Tar road and 50% off-tar.

So it makes sense to buy a car for tar and a GS for gravel.

My new car only has two wheels to slip thru traffic easier.

The  bells n whistles are my reward for being such a model driver.

I will make the 1150GSA keep up her standard with excellent maintenance and can leave her rigged with radios, tyre irons, bolt-cutter, 1st-aid kit, tank bag with contents for the Friday deratures each weekend.

Currently have to take off the above to prevent it form being liberated when parked in the City or malls.

It has become such a bind every Monday de-rigging the BEAST for town use and the rigging it Fridays for the weekend away.

You all have a car for commuting and a bike for your 'own-time'.

Agggg, why am I justifying this and to whom.

It just is.....

I lost a brand new bolt-cutter and pair or tyre irons recently while parked outside front door of the bank.

Hi Andy, I also have both (RT

Hi Andy, I also have both (RT and GS) and the bad news is that it is VERY boring to ride on tar only, once you got used to playing around in the dirt!  But, for commuting to work the RT is perfect: also, it gives you far more protection in rain than the GS (and in the wind....).  Congrats, and enjoy her!

Thanks dtv, I was an ass to

Thanks dtv,

I was an ass to ever have sold my 2006 RT.

I'll double this bike's kms by November.

But Ill halve the 2004 GSA's  annual km's down to 25 000 this year which will really save it.

It was touch n go whether to get the GS or RT and the advice I got was so contradictary that in the end I let the blood go back to me head so i could think on it.

The real Hero in my Life is Linda Otto  at Hamman Motorrad who made the process such a pleasant, smooth and quick one.

Nedbank has told me that since November they do not finance previously owned vehicles.

Remember its now pc to say "previously owned" and very uncool to say 2nd hand.
