Are BMW roadies Race-ist??
Are BMW club members Race-ist???.
I saw there was a Track Day coming up at Killarney Race track, I also saw the programme for the Track Day.
It looked brilliant, a nice balance of rest and riding, and I was certain that on Monday morning the forum would be alive with posts much like the Koue Bokke Veldt is with daisies at present.
So, at tea, lunch and in the evening I did the Forum peruse anticipating the juicy skinner and skandaal about the day. Low and behold, posts to the equivalent of one daisy between Citrusdal and Clanwilliam!
I don't expect much from a gent like Max, from him I would expect a simple" Oh" if he won 1 million on the Lotto, or if he was feeling very loquacious, an "Oh, I won million!" With a mild exclamation!
Now giving this further thought I arrived at the conclusion that riding black stuff must make our members Race-ist. As the club struggles to get the roadies riding more frequently, and posting about their rides. This must be because they were riding on the black tar. And this made them scared to post anything that might be perceived as politically incorrect, as, after-all their riding over black stuff and little white lines! Posting about that is politically fraught.( Pink is risky enough!) And then realising that they had been at a 'race- track', I realised that the roadies must be 'race-ist' because at a 'racetrack' one rides on black stuff and on the road you ride on black stuff (with a little white lines of course), and that might be the reason???
Off- Road, we ride on roads which are orangy coloured (KTM orange coloured) and maybe that's why they so enthusiastic, and 'Ready to Race' to their keyboards to post on the forum….I mean, the zeal with which grown men post pictures of flowers and pics of other men lying provocatively amoung the daisies, makes me concerned about the future of the club. (I may remove my pink 'Biker Think' stickers from the rear of my van) These actions stand in still strong contrast to the roadies silent fingers.
Currently I'm having a web cam installed at Maitland Cemetery because I'm sure there will be more action on that web cam than on the forum at present.
Good heavens!, gentle ladies and gentlemen a little more enthusiasm please!
I was working and would love to hear the stories!!!!
I know Peter O was they but unfortunately could not ride as he had been the target of target fixation. I also know that Pete loves to ride on the track as it goes around in a squiggly circle which prevents him from getting lost, and does not need to use a GPS while riding there! This a great source of relief to him!
Now this lack of posting on the forum is causing Charles to be most productive and pushing him into a higher tax bracket: he has not had anyone to insult, sorry I mean, empathise with in ages!!
Please folks I know some ride sober grey bikes but a little enthusiasm!!!!!! Come what happened on that track day ……..tik tik????
Hi
This is one of the drawbacks of a BEAUTIFUL forum. Things just 'disappear'.
The original thread - go to page 2 http://bmwmotorcycleclubcape.co.za/track-day-last-4-sep-11?page=1
another thread http://bmwmotorcycleclubcape.co.za/track-training-492011
and now this thread :-)
My guess is that about 90% bike was/were (die !@# ingils) GS's. Maybe we were so gripped by the black stuff that we forgot about the world out there and just absorbed it all. :-)
Adie
Hi Adie, I saw all the posts ( incl yours, THANKS) re the Track Day...( both threads) yet, still was almost silence for time on a track. Has the club no red or pink blooded members....track time equates to smiles, and smiles = posts....what do we have........... men lying in the daises, and now the rear end of dogs! Sheez guys I'm SERIOUSLY worried !!!!
Where is our Chairman leading the club!
No wonder the Wilddogs think what they do of us!
Oh, and no need to tell me if the dog is a him/ her or an it...not really my sphere of interest!
