Biker friendly camping and accommodation - Just Outside Ladismith (WC)
Buffelspoort camping and self catering accommodation is about 30kms
outside Ladismith (WC) on the Laingsburg Road and about 1km after the
tar ends. You can not miss the huge "BUFFELSPOORT" banner at the farm
entrance.
The young farmers Rudi & Marianne Nel have a lovely
set up offering shaded grassy Camp sites or a couple of self catering
cottages.
Prices are realistic and you can get ice and wood (and
probably some refreshments) at reasonable prices. There are lots of
dams/reservoirs to cool off in.
Rudi also has a few bikes on the
farm and he will gladly (time permitting) show you around some of the
off road tracks on the farm on either his old DT 175 or on "RAT" his
faithful old XR 200. He will be wearing shorts and a t shirt and
probably plakkies.
Although you can just pitch up it is preferable to book in advance to ensure you get a spot.
There are lots of other amenities like mountain biking, fishing, hiking, etc.
Beware of Rudi's "Buffel-blits".........................it will have you breathing fire!!!!!!!
