It's a bug in the software.
It's a bug in the software. But since the software is free we don't complain, we just get up at midnight and chat until 8am when the ride starts ;-)

Thanks Charles, seems like
Thanks Charles, seems like the problem is because I have not joined you on one of the rides I do not know the procedure, thus the confusion. I am sure there are more newbies like me. So perhaps next time we can say something like :
Meet at the Engen, everything you need to know will be discussed at the meeting point. The map to the meeting point and other information on what to bring is at these links:

Ja Pieter
If I knew more
Ja Pieter
If I knew more about the ride I would put it up. But as the guys say, you pitch, the ride captain takes charge, you have fun. The links just make sure you have enough background to arrived prepared.
I've been in the club over a year and I still don't know most of the venues. The routes also change depending on things like traffic, the weather, the ride captain's mood and more. So even if you think you know the route you could be wrong :)

I had the same confusion on
I had the same confusion on my first ride. I wanted to have a look at where we would be going on a map but it's not like that.
The way it works is that the leader takes us, we follow. There is no briefing on the route so it's all a kind of a surprise ride unless you've perhaps ridden it before.
The instructions in the links are all about where to meet and how to ride in formation etc
Very enjoyable and great company, just meet at Panorama, bring kit and kash for breakfast, you'll be back for more.

Hello PietP & John,
As I understand it we meet at Sonnendal Engen Plattekloof rd. You bring: yourself, bike, partner, money for petrol and meals. The route is normally announced at the departure point.
Please correct me if I am in error.
Ignore opinions, heed facts.
Feet on the pegs, always.
