Breakfast at the Opstal
Opstal Estate is situated at the foot of the Slanghoek mountains in the
heart of the breathtakingly beautiful Slanghoek Valley on the
Breedekloof Wine Route. The valley forms part of the Breede River Valley
with Worcester as the closest, large town. Stanley Louw - current owner
and sixth generation vintner - is a descendant of J C Rossouw, the
first owner of Opstal bij de Fonteine in 1847.
They also offer a
well established restaurant and conference centre at Opstal Estate
giving visitors to the Breedekloof Wine Route even more reason to spend
time in this unspoilt part of the Cape Winelands. The restaurant offers
sweeping views through a picture window of the vineyards and the
Slanghoek Mountains.
