New riders are MOST
New riders are MOST welcome!
We shall be riding around the speed limit as a main group and those that need to test their tyres on the curves will re-group with up at regular intervals.
There will also be a sweeper bringing up the rear to make sure we dont lose anyone.

Looking forward to my first
Looking forward to my first ride with the club!
Will enjoy meeting you guys on Sunday. BTW I am always game for the scenic (perhaps longer) ride home. Dislike the traffic-infested N-routes. Ashton to Swellendam along the R60 must be one of my favourite rides.
Oh, reason not the need, just ride!

THE PLAN
The most direct
THE PLAN
The most direct route to Swellendam is 205Km so this is not a breakfast run, it will be a lunch run.
I would have liked to go via Koo valley but that would be over 300Km which might put some riders off, so I have compromised.
The route I intend taking is via Wellington, Worcester, Robertson. That way we avoid the N1 and have a more scenic ride. Distance = 230Km
We leave from Plattekloof at 0830 to give everyone a chance to have some breakfast.
We shall have a scheduled stop at Ashton fuel station to count heads and possibly pick up other riders from that area.
Lunch will be at The Old Mill Restaurant and Tea Garden.
After a visit to the Faerie Shop we can make our way home with individual route choices, I intend riding via Kleinmond and taking the coast road.
It would help for the booking if you would indicate your intention to join us, either phone (083 375 1299) or post on this thread. (Thread highjackers will be forced to wear pink AND yellow on the next ride!)
