Ag sorry man - I tried to move the thread from General into this new forum, but the system twisted everything up and when I tried to delete one little comment it trashed all the comments.
And, as the system warned me, it cannot be undone. What it didn't warn about was that it was intending to remove '''all''' comments and not just the one I had selected.
Ah well, so much for the 'prune' and 'graft' function on the forum...

Charles I told you a long time ago, Windows is the way to go, it would have asked you ten times "are you sure you want to delete" you would not listen!!! Maybe get some tips from the Think Bike Forum software, or the BMWSuperbikes forum software :-) They work very well. In comparison we are still behind.

Thanks for all the kind
Thanks for all the kind words guys and girls.
There is no doubt that I can not remember ever being as sore and stiff as I was yesterday and am today. Talk about finding new muscles.......!!!!
An interesting point was that the top speed achieved by one of the top BMW 450 riders (the guy came 16th overall) was 160kph, my top speed was just over 90kph.
Overall BMW positions were........(names that I know):
4 - Gary Sox Smith - Seniors
7 - Clint Rieper - Open
16 - Eddie Sullivan - Seniors
27 - Charles Ackerman - Seniors
32 - Kobus Potgieter - Seniors
43 - Herman Lombard - Open
46 - Ruan de Lange - Open
48 - Chris Hamman - Silver
56 - Geoff Russell - Masters
57 - Leon Kroucamp - Silver
78 - Corne van Aswegan - Silver
81 - Lourens van Rensburg - Silver
83 - Jarred Lyons - Silver
Paul Blignaut - Did not finish (accident)- Masters
Well done to them all.

LEGENDS
LEGENDS ...............
Geoff, Chris Hamman and Ruan.
Well done to all three of you for your individual success in the recent enduro, sorry I did not congratulate Chris Hamman and Ruan ealier. I was unaware.
After reading all the recognition you've got I'm kicking myself for not riding my BMW450 in this first 2009 eduro.
I'm going to use all my spare time to get ready for the 7th March, as per Geoffs kind schedule of things to do and prepare for before this event.
Chris, I'd like to thank you for assisting me with those handle bar raisers. I'll report back to you once I've tried them.
I would also like to know if you have had problems with your plastic pannels on your bike cracking as mine have??
Could we please get an enduro email going that we can all be part of one page. I would love to exchange tips, advice and suggestions with everyone that is doing enduros on the new BMW.
I really see many more guys joining this inititive in future.
Rusty in the eye of adventure.

One more tip Russel is to
One more tip Russel is to shorten the screws holding the radiator shrouds at the bottom. They will puncture your radiator if bent inwards with or without the nice PSP Radiator Brace that is available.
As far as the panels go - there is a recall on them, so best you make contact with the dealer.
