Saturday October 13, 2007
Start: 2007/10/13
Over this weekend the BMW MCC will be visiting the lovely Anysberg Nature Reserve in the Karoo. This will be our 3rd visit to the Reserve and this time we will again be spoilt and stay in the recently upgraded accommodation. All rooms now include bedding and all we need to take along are our towels. There will however also be “camping” available for those that wish to do so. The ride to Anysberg will be an assortment of tar and dirt with the dirt sections being manageable by all riders (a bit of experience will be an advantage). Riders will however need to be on their toes as there is the odd short patch of loose sand that we need to cross. Pillions are encouraged to join their partners on this very special outing. Please call me if you need to discuss the terrain that we will be riding. (0828078130)

2007 has been a busy year for the club, with many rides. Breakfast runs, Nelson’s Creek, Sutherland and also the annual tour to Oudtshoorn, not to mention the numerous off road rides. What better way to round of this year than a DAY ride? This will be a tar ride with all bikes welcome to join us for a day ride through the KOO Valley. 8:00 start from Engen Plattekloof, with a breakfast stop along the way. After De Doorns we will turn right to get to the KOO Valley. With any luck Niel will take care of the “Rossi squad” in the many twisty sections. Hopefully they will then wait for us to regroup. Lunch could be had at any number of places, depending on the stops and mood of the day. This would be at least 400 km for the day, with multiple stops for those that need to “rest”.

Only 1 days leave necessary, yipppeeee!!!!!!!!! Have not been so excited about a route for a long time. This ride should offer everybody what they are looking for in an off road ride and is very "Pillion" friendly. So no excuses guys and girls bring your partners along. Yes I know it is directly after the Anysberg weekend however it is the only 4 day gap I have in some time. The route will be as follows (approximately): Thursday 1st May (Workers day): Depart CT for Ceres via some dirt sections. Then to Op Die Berg over Katbakkies Pass to the Calvinia road and on to Sutherland where we overnight.

Many of our lady riders and lady pillions have asked for a workshop day. Shane kindly agreed in facilitating such a workshop day. The workshop day will cover general motorcycle maintenance and care, not specific to any motorcycle but will probably focus on the 650's or whatever the ladies ask for. If you are interested please post your details (Name, Surname, and Email) or email me directly and specify what you want to gain from the workshop. This could help Shane in setting up the workshop. The idea is to learn something new about your motorcycle and have fun. Corné Kloppers ckloppers@gmail.com
