We have a date!

Shane will open his workshop at Atlantic Motorrad on Saturday 11 December for an F800GS workshop which will cover all user maintainable items on the bike as well as tips, tricks, do's and don'ts for those that enjoy weilding a spanner, or just want to know what to do in an emergency.

Those interested please let me know by posting here or via email.

It will be from about 0830 until about 1230 and we shall pass the hat around for the "Workshop Fund" (usually about R50 per person to cover the coffee and muffins and some for their kitty).

THE LIST :
Note that club members will be given preference if Shane feels a need to split the goup over a number of weekends.

NEW PLAN

OK everyone, there has been such a demand for this workshop that we're splitting it over two sessions.  I've also had a few people who want to attend, dropping out because of other committments so a second session is called for.

The first session is this Saturday, those who can't make it can go to the second session which will be on Sat 16 Jan.

We shall also be arranging a 1200GS workshop for Jan.

F800GS WORKSHOP COURSE

My thanks to PeterO for organizing this course and to Shane and your team for all the knowledge that was imparted.

This was a very interesting morning and hopefully the newly gained information will contribute to safer and better biking.

Take care

Deon

Workshop morning

Yes, a big thanks to Shane and team, as well as PeterO for getting the w/shop morning together. Cool to see some faces I've not seen in a while; learnt lots about the bike, was especially cool seeing an exploded view of the motor, and it's internals, highlight was seeing fuel tank pump/strainer bag, etc, and how to practically drain a tank if needed.

Great to be re-reminded of the spanners needed for front and rear whell removal (24 & 17) as well as the two size 13 spanners for chain adjustment, and Torx 40 (?) for the 4 pinch bolts on front fork.

A thoroughly enjoyable morning! Well done :)

Photos??? Oh we could not

Photos???

Oh we could not take any with the fuel tank 3/4 full and being so exposed. Can you imagine the please explain Shane had to give today to the big bosses when they saw a big black mark on the workshop wall.

Peter ; Shane and the team thank you. I always learn something new at these workshop days.
