Flower Time!!! BMWMCC Cape overnight, off road ride to the beautiful Biedouw Valley.
For a few short weeks every year, when the conditions are good, the Biedouw valley outside Clan William becomes one of the most beautiful places anyone could possibly visit in the whole of South Africa.
At the end of winter, this remote valley with its amazing views, beauty and peace and quiet, is transformed as millions and millions of flowers make their appearance, creating a colour filled spectacle that everyone should at least see once in their life time. When the valley is in full bloom you will hardly believe your eyes as you travel around, with flowers just about everywhere you look.
The early rains have fallen, the flowers are already starting to push through and now all that is needed is some light rain to sustain them for the next few weeks. We hope and pray this will happen, as we do every year.
We have booked the entire farm Mertenhof for the weekend of 27 to 28 August for the BMW Club. As usual there is both housing and camping accommodation, Mariette will spoil us once again with her fantastic cooking at supper and breakfast and hopefully you will go home with stars in your eyes. Warren & Natalie will be your hosts for this weekend.
But first Russ, we need to go build snowmen!!
