Howdy
Hi guys (and girls?)
This week I took collection of my first bike - my beautiful 2003 Dakar!
I found you guys on Google and have signed up in the hope that you're as friendly as you say you are!
My name's Christopher J Combrink, I come from a cycling and running background - both on and off road for both disaplines. Photography is also a passion of mine and I hope to get my fix for the outdoors and photography from the seat of my Dakar!
Now I'm going to make my way to the air-filter replacement how-to to get things going
Hope to see you on the road (and in the birt)!

Hello Gents,
Thanks so much for the warm welcome!
@Dave, thanks man - I'm sure that the forums and also activities are a little slow this time of the year - the Kaap shuts down to a stand-still even more so than normal ;P
@Andy, thanks boet, as soon as I have my licence, I will be joining up and see you lads in the flesh. Booking today :)
@Peter, I'm keen on the workshops and things, altough I'm sure that it will come easily as I cycle - a LOT! I'm always keen to learn though, I'll be sure to ask questions too!
@Zebra, haha small world? Perhaps we actually know each other - even if only by aquantance? I did quite a bit of research on which bike to get before buying her and I am glad to report I have ZERO regrets so far! What a gorgeous beast!
@Rene, yep it is my first motorbike I've evern owned. The last time I rode a bike I was 14, in a forrest and didn't get out of first gear ;P So yes, this' definately my first!
@Geoff, I'll be joining you guys as soon as I'm 'street legal' ;P I live in Woodstock, Upper Eastside and work in Newlands. I get all over though - but try to stay in CPT as much as possible.
Thanks again everyone for the warm welcome and sorry for the late reply but as you pointed out - things are quite this time of the year and I managed to take a couple of days off ;P
