Stunning!! I just spoke to
Stunning!! I just spoke to Lucien, we can get it for R50 each. For those that does not know, this is not a pouch to be used with your favorite beverage. It is a piece of paper with your vital information, inside a water tight pouch that sticks to your helmet. In the event of an accident, while you might not be able to provide information - this docket tells the paramedics that you have a medical aid and that you are not to be left at the mercy of some beetroot mongers. Obviously, allergies, contact numbers etc. can be included. Yes, it is a few hundred rand if you have a couple of helmets - do you want to spend a few nights in Tygerberg?? This should be right up there with your protective clothing.

A-ha, thanks Geoff.
A-ha, thanks Geoff. Hopefully Charles will get the promotional page going shortly - then we can get Hennie's numbers on the forum - and what he does. I am looking forward to when we can see who does what (well those club members that want there jobs/businesses advertised here). Now if only BC Botha knew how to put his details here.

Lets speak to Hennie this weekend. I recently saw the tags/stickers that he made some time ago. I will give some more feedback here at a later stage.

Padlangs, it cool what
Padlangs, it cool what Hennie is doing with tags/stickers etc. Just one thing is will the "Paramedics service" reckons it? I have on the odd occasion when a paramedic is around asked him about my sticker on my helemt, and they have known the answer etc.. So i take it that the are trained to look for the "ICETAG", but thats my two cents..

We enjoyed the weekend tooo
We enjoyed the weekend tooo much, never spoke to Hennie about ICE tags. Will try to remember to speak to him on Tuesday night at the club meeting. Hennie has produced stickers in the past. You can then put this sticker on your helmet, bike, ..... The sticker clearly displays what you want known - contact number, medical aid, alergies, etc. If a paramedic, or by-stander, does not see this sticker, they will never notice the smaller pouched version.

ICE STICKERS

If anyone wants me to get Hennie to make ICE stickers with their details, I'm quite happy to arrange.  I travel past his office on the way to work and often pop in for coffee.

Mail me your details and I'll ask Hennie to print them - pohanlon@iafrica.com

Send me your name, next of kin & their number, your medical aid number and any alergies/medical conditions you want noted.
