KOO Valley Run

2007 has been a busy year for the club, with many rides. Breakfast runs, Nelson’s Creek, Sutherland and also the annual tour to Oudtshoorn, not to mention the numerous off road rides. What better way to round of this year than a DAY ride? This will be a tar ride with all bikes welcome to join us for a day ride through the KOO Valley. 8:00 start from Engen Plattekloof, with a breakfast stop along the way. After De Doorns we will turn right to get to the KOO Valley. With any luck Niel will take care of the “Rossi squad” in the many twisty sections. Hopefully they will then wait for us to regroup. Lunch could be had at any number of places, depending on the stops and mood of the day. This would be at least 400 km for the day, with multiple stops for those that need to “rest”. OK, so when will this day ride take place? On Saturday 15 December is a race day at Killarney with the 800cc having their debut. Monday 17 December is an “All bike” day at Killarney. Thus Sunday 16 December 2007 is the only remaining day for this run. Who’s in for this day run? Niel, we will miss the both
Niel, we will miss the both of you. :( JdJ, yes I have been watching the weather forecasts. The temperatures are all staying above 20 - I dont think we will get "proper" rain. At most the odd spot of water on the lens. I am still looking for something better than Shell outside Worcestor for an early morning coffee. Any ideas? Lawrence arranged a proper 3 course meal in Montaque - and it wont even hurt your pocket. Most of our breakfasts cost more. Who else is taking swimming gear with?

Padlangs I have a sad and happy heart, it looks as if Jane and I will miss the KOO Ride ,but go on the track (Killarney) on Sunday.

I am seriously concidering
I am seriously concidering going - it's between this or the Cherry picking trip....then also the weather (seeing that I am on holiday now) I have become a fair weather rider this holiday and it looks like some rain over the weekend... Knowing me I probably will be going and whilst on the trip try and get some mud on the Adventure... Keep it SAFE !!
