Prince Albert
Mini-trip - Swartberg pass
Last weekend, whilst idling my time away at the Buff, I had a choice... spend the day watching loads of people drink, get drunk, make idiots of themselves and bugger up their bikes, or disappear into the wild blue yonder and go adventuring. The latter won out.

===Day 1: Cape Town – Bonnievale===
We set out late Monday afternoon for Bonnievale at 17h00. The weather was good…..that is no pumping cape doctor, “anything else is good in my book”, but once we hit the R60 to Robertson the cape doctor gave us a woes snot klap making it difficult to maintain 140km/h. We were packed reasonably light, only the absolute essentials for a one night camp out, no rain gear, a cell phone to use for any major repairs, and a basic supper of noodles with tinned tuna. (The rest of our meals were to be had on route.)
Our first night was with friends on their wine farm on the Breede River. After a really good braai and good wine it was off to bed before many dusty back roads to tomorrows destination….Die Hel!

JdJ & Tracey's 2400 km Dec 07 trip
We (JdJ & Tracey) did this trip whilst our friends Wayne and Joe embarked on a 5500km trip from Cpt to Jhb, Lowveld, KZN, Garden Route and back.....we wanted to be with them but could not stay away from home for so long and therefor decided on a shorter trip....
The plan was to from Cpt go to Struisbaai, from there to Prince Albert, then to Addo to the Elephant Park then Bathurst to visit a friend, then to somewhere between PE and Struisbaai and for the last day to Franschoek on the 25th Dec for Xmas lunch with family - all more or less about 2000km's.
Day 1- Cpt to Struisbaai
We have done this so many times that we can almost do this trip with closed eyes. We decided to stop at the botanical garden just outside Kleinmond for a light lunch.
