MOTORCYCLE SEAT COVERING
There's recently been a few posts asking for details of someone to cover bike seats.
I had the seat of my 1200GS covered and the workmanship and quality of material was excellent.
Contact Peter on 0824258792. His premises are at his house, just off the Koeberg Interchange and off Koeberg Road.
For the people with the butt-killer 650/800GS, you can have your seat remodelled for comfort and recovered in a fabric/colour scheme of your choice.
I won't quote his current price, but the seat in the pic below is of my 1200GS for which I paid R180.00, including material. (It was a short while ago, so prices may have changed).
If the mods can make this a sticky thread please!
Recovered BMW 1200GS Seat
please note: I have no financial interest in this business and share no gain, other than to inform club members of the service provider
Looks Great ...What material was used to cover the seat ?
He used two different fabrics for my seat. The fabric was a leatherette vinyl which is used to cover boat seats so was chosen because of its suitability for outdoor use.
I had my seat recovered at Peter's and the workmanship is first notch! Thanks Hermanator for pointing in the correct direction.
Does anyone have an alternative number or an address? I've been trying to contact him for a few days now and all I get is "the subscriber you are trying to contact is unavailable".
Your point of reference is the big intersection at the beginning of Koeberg Rd (Southern end). If you are coming from the Maitland side, take first left into Conway, take first left into Ryk. Follow Ryk around the bend and you'll see a big brown metal roll-up door on your RHS. Stop there and look for the doorbell button situated on top LHS of roll-up doorway. This bell button is sometimes faulty, so bang on the roll-up door if that fails.
Peter's workmanship is not bad at the price - he charged me R180 a few weeks ago for a pretty standard job.
Thanks a lot Stan, I'll give him a try.
