It's going to be a nice bike!

BMW G 650 GS Sertão – the sporty BMW single cylinder enduro for offroad and everyday.

The only thing that concerns me is the fact that it's based on the 2011 G650GS with the smaller fuel tank! Why on earth did BMW decide to replace the old 17l tank with a 14l tank?

I hope the Sertao comes with a bigger fuel tank!

Sertão, Portuguese term for backcountry or backlands

Dakar name is history.

It's now Sertão, Portuguese term for backcountry or backlands.

This bike will also be assembled in Brazil along with the G650GS, F800GS and F800R.

Can't be from the factory ...

... it has hand protectors and a bash plate as well as spoked wheels - those are normally extras for the South African market!

If I'm wrong WELL DONE BMW FOR HEARING US!

(Apologies for the cynicysm - bad hair day  - came to work by car instead of using the bike).

Spoked Wheels

Nice to see the Dakar making a return.

Shame about the tank size, although with the price of fuel maybe they thought we can't afford filling a 17L tank.

The only problem with the spokes are that they are in the centre of the rim, no going tubeless!
