The Winter ride has been and gone and what a weekend it was. We had three separate groups the "roadies" being led by Brian Messenger, then the off road beginners group (the biggest group) led by Anne & Andy Connell and the off road "advanced" group led by myself. All in all 49 people attended the ride. By all accounts the routes were enjoyed by all and the dinner at Jupiter House in Sutherland appears to have been well received. The weather Gods smiled upon us ensuring that we did not die from cold. It was however very chilly in the early mornings. To those that did not make the effort to join us you missed out on a really great ride. Geoff Russell ---- ===All the Passes : Road ride to Oudtshoorn=== Brian and I have started the planning for this ride that proved to be very enjoyable and very popular last year. Brian will again lead the "sedate" group and I will take the less "sedate" (faster) group. If there is enough interest we will consider implementing a "beginners" group aimed at the less experienced riders amongst us. Remember that this is only a "road" ride. We will again stay at Kleinplasie in Oudtshoorn on a B&B basis. Here is the opportunity for the "roadies" to dust off their bikes, make sure they still start, search for your riding gear and see if it still fits, polish the boots and get ready!!!!!!!!! Watch this space for the dates. ---- Geoff Russell Vice Chairman BMW MCC Cape
