The club is putting an offroad pillion course together on Sat 24 Jul.  It will be an all day course in Stellenbosch, presented by Johan - JdJ.

The event has been prompted by the Wild Coast trip which is a challenging tour and there are quite a few brand new bikes going (with riders and pillions attached to their computers).

Cost per couple will be :

  • Paid Up Members - R250
  • Non Members - R 300

First come first served with preference given to those going on the Wild Coast tour in August.

Did you know that you don't need a GS to be able to throw some camping gear into your panniers and shoot off for a night under the stars at the end of some pass or scenic ride?  Ask Alvin Kushner (who rides an RT).

Don't forget the club meeting this coming Tuesday, where we will be finding out about all the biker-suitable camping gear and other goodies available from Outdoor Warehouse.

Find out about biker-suitable:

The Club is doing a lovely GS dirt tour to this beautiful part of our country from the 12th to the 24th August 2010.

This "laid back" tour staying in Hotels every night and with virtually every second day a "rest" day might just be what you are looking for. On these "rest" days you will be able to just relax with a book, go for a walk on the unspoilt beaches, sleep late or join me on short challenging outrides for those seeking an additional adrenalin rush.

We stay at :

Think Bike Stickers

Oops, we made a mistake.  The Think Bike stickers that were made available at the last meeting courtesy of Hennie from Kontra Signs need to be destroyed.

While the intention was good, those stickers are in violation of the copyright and registered trademarks owned by Think Bike.  They have asked us to destroy the stickers, and to use only the genuine article.  Club-branded stickers are still a possibility, provided we go through the official Think Bike channels.

The request is friendly and we want to collaborate - so please help us in this regard.
