Greetings all,
Firstly my apologies for the delay in getting this Tour info to you all but here it now is.
Cape overnight, off road ride to the Biedouw Valley, including a night ride, and home via Wuppertal
We are planning an overnight ride to the Biedouw Valley for the weekend of 25 to 26 February 2012.
The weekend will consist of a fairly direct route there, an afternoon spent relaxing and swimming at the pools and then a 60km night drive (in pairs) down to the Doring River. Then home on Sunday via everyone’s “must do” route of Wupperthal, Esel Bank, the Cederberg Oasis and Ceres. So a full action packed weekend with plenty of riding and awesome scenery.
Breakfast Ride - Tulbagh - 29 Jan 2012
Hi all,
After the weekend’s great ride to Greyton, let’s add another Tar ride, this time to Tulbach.

BMW Bike Fest
Bookings have just opened for the BMW Clubs Africa BMW Bike Fest 2012 – to take place 27 to 30 April 2012 – in Grahamstown, Eastern Cape. (27th April is a public holiday, and so is May 1st).
The last two years this was held in Oudtshoorn, and was by far the best event Julie and I have attended. The program for Grahamstown promises new terrain, and the festival atmosphere that only Grahamstown can offer.
Advanced "OFF ROAD" ride this Sunday 15th January
The longer serving members will remember how often we had the Club's more ADVANCED Off Road Day rides and they were always very popular.
I have been receiving requests again to arrange another one. This ride will not suit beginners or even semi beginners. It is aimed at the above average rider.
"ROADIES" camping weekends - show of hands please.
Following on the fantastic response the Club has had with "off road" camping weekends we are looking at putting together a few "Roadie" camping trips. These getaways could easily become "dual" camping weekends with the Roadies and the Dirties all camping together but getting there on different routes.
However before we go to all the effort of putting such a weekend together we need a show of hands from the "Roadies" as to who would be interested in such an event.
Dual and invitational Breakfast Ride, 18 December 2011
John Geldenhuys and I are planning the last breakfast ride for 2011 to the Festa Restaurant at the Klein Valley Wedding and conference Center outside of Wellington on Bainskloof Road. A stunning location by all accounts.
18 December 2011, usual new meeting place in Plattekloof, 07H30 meet for a 08H00 departure.
BMW Motorrad Days 2012
Geoff and Ian are looking at putting together a European Tour in July 2012. Many people have expressed interest in this tour, so, come and join some of your fellow club members for the trip of a lifetime in July 2012. Although this is not an official club tour, we would like to extend the invitation to all of you to join us on the tour. We will be visiting BMW Motorrad Days 2012, held in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, at the foot of Germany’s highest mountain – the Zugspitze, just south of Munich. Best of all is that this is just the
2012 ROADIES Tour : Western & Eastern Cape, Transkei & Drakensberg
The planning for the 1st 9 day "ROADIE" Tour for the first half of 2012 is at an advanced stage. This Tour through the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Transkei & Drakensberg has lots of Routes that differ from this year's Tour and we will be spending two nights at the beautiful Crawfords Cabins as well as the fantastic Umngazi River Bungalows.
Toy Run 2011
Hi All,
It’s that time of the year again where we as bikers get to take part in a very special event, the Toy Run. I will be managing the tickets and the communications between the club and the Toy Run organisers, so if you require some additional info, not listed below, please let me know.
