open ended very laid back tour to Namibia...
I have 4 weeks off in October/November and am planning to do what I love best.. getting on my bike and heading off without a plan. This time though I am a little nervous because its going to be a trip into unknown territory. A bit of background: I have done many trips on the tar using my cruiser and some dirt road trips on my own for different periods of time staying in B&b's as i like my comforts at the end of the day. So the alone thing and the unknown does not bother me.
What I do realize this time around though is that off road riding is different with its own set of risks and challenges. I am not looking to do any track riding or such. I plan to do a trip in Namibia using the secondary roads to experience the country.
So this is what I need: Ideas of routs, areas to visit, and tips from you experienced bikers who have done this type riding. I would love to meet up, have a beer and listen to what you have to say.
And of course, any one who is like minded and keen... chat to me and lets see what we can work out ... perhaps we can ride together some of the time, all of the time, part of the time...
