Orange headlight for RT

With all this Leadsa "headlights on" nonsense for cages we are going to be less visible on our bikes. I cannot help but agree that bikes must now have something different but even more visible to protect us. The orange headlight fittings used by the GS riders is ideal but where can I find something for the RT? I only want it to cover the "bright" light so I dont have to take it off at night. They are available as I saw one on an RT at Atlantic  but nobody knows where it came from. Any ideas?

I have contacted some of the suppliers of aftermarket products in the northern hemisphere but they don't understand what I am talking about. Sometimes these first world countries are so backward !!

Try Flywheels Trading

Trevor at the Northgate Island Adventure Rider store can probably help - they have such fittings for many brands and models.

Otherwise, do what I did - get some orange perspex, cut it to shape and bend it by heating it up in the oven.  Then attach it with those little velcro jobbies.

Try this site. I buoght mine from them. Not a mini job as you saw at Atlantic, but a full protector. It is difficult to stow on the bike if you need to remove it after dark, but a very effective safety device

Thanks must go to all those people who answered the original post but especially to those that guided me to Niclaus Lutzeler 072 6050 727.

Quick, efficient and reasonable.

I told him what I wanted and two days later it was there.

Thanks guys!

200 rondts

I only wanted the centre piece for the RT and it cost me R 200.00.  I went for a ride today and the cars were pulling left far sooner to allow me to pass. I am definately more visable now.

This is not an expense but an investment. I should have done it years ago. You should do it now!!
