Ali and friends are riding BMW bikes from Kuwait to Cape Town.
We met them in PE at the start of our 8passes in the eastern Cape Tour, 15th January 2011.
They are so keen and full of enthusiasm.
Poeple have tried to talk them out of the dangers.
But we talked them up.
Africa is not for sissies, but it is not dangerous either.
You can follow their exploits here and we'll meet them in Cape Town and hear about their exploits.
Yes it was great to meet these Guys at the Road lodge in PE on our way uo to the Drakensberg.
As Usual Andy had loads of great advice for them especially as Boris Leyck one of our members has just returned to RSA having done a similar route to the ones proposed by this group.
I am sure that Andy will be giving lots more advice to them.
Have a safe trip guys!!
The three Kuwati riders on 1200GSA'a have arrived in Sa last Monday- they took on new tyres at Bavaira Motorrad in Pretoria on Tuesday.
On Friday they arrived in PE

Pete Ohanlon, Rusty and few others will arrange a welcome to Cape Town.
I am out of town, having shot off to Rotterdam Sunday night on an urgent mission to arrange import temrinals for our shipping.
I was looking forward to meeting them again, we have been in touch as they made their way down.
They totally cooked their rear shocks on the bumpy road from Aswan to Dongola and Khartoum. They had many adventures and now their trip is almost over. they have Tuesaday Free,
Wednesday take bikes to the shipping agent and Thursday they fly home. Saturday they start work again.
