ok, so I know you've probably discussed this before, but does anyone know of a good (even a bad) over boot one can use easily.. I have a pair that came with an Assault rain suit, but the rain still goes up (they only have an elstic strap under the boot). Night before last I got caught in the rain storm of a lifetime - and I can say that the all-in-one suit I bought for R180 at Motodirect worked a bomb (aka very well!) but the boot area didn't fare as well.. Between water and wind... It's never so cool putting on wet boots the next day.. and that says nothing about the smell :) The No Name 22c packet would keep the shoe dry(ish) but is no help between rainsuit and shoe, and all that happens is the water drips down anyhow. I've thought of gaiters, but all this stuff adds up, and I bought a top box for more than just carrying a rain suit. Any ideas? (oh, yeah, I better add that I travel on a budget.. I'm not entirely BMW!) no offense meant! (yeah, I know I could avoid riding in the rain..)

My boots are pretty
My boots are pretty waterproof, and my rain pants go over them and velcro shut quite tightly. I have had no problems in that area. How often do you get caught in such a bad downpour? Is it worth carrying overboots around for the odd occasion? Website Administrator [http://honeybadger.net Honey Badger IT Services]

I bought a pair of over
I bought a pair of over shoes from Tracmac for a ridiculously low price about 18 months ago and have used them regularly and they work perfectly. They are more of a wrap-around plastic affair than a boot and are open underneath but I've never had the slightest damp problem, let alone a wet boot. Don't wear them to the Ritz though, they are the ugliest things you've ever seen :-) They do however, roll up into a very small package that you can carry around easily. good point, I agree, but as home is Capetown, and winter happens, it would be good to put the overboots into the wee sakkie I carry the rain suit in. How often does it rain? Good question.. when is it going to stop? Well, I'm told this weekend.. tho just imagine how gummy the roads are going to be.. Dennis BMW Dakar 2000 model a bike that's "really" seen places

Hi Depending on your size
Hi Depending on your size shoe/boot Adventure Rider / Flywhell Trading (Adrian ) will be able to sort you out...product by Kappa Moto Only problem is the sizing. I wear a size 9 shoe and I have to use a 5 xl ! I ride daily and do not use a cage -EVER - and I have found this product hundred % waterproof. Any sniff of rain and I slip on the overboot before putting the boot on because doing it with your boot on or next to the road takes too much time. This product has a sole so water does not seep through the sole of the boot and seeing as the water spraying off the truck and car wheel's is what soak's you ! Try them FLY WHEELS / ADRIAN , TREVOR 021 511 1007 / 083 227 3577

I have the Kappa overboot
I have the Kappa overboot and do not like them at all. My opinion is they are dangerous because the soles are slippery in the wet and because it has it own sole it tends to get caught in things.
