Pillion Course

The club is putting an offroad pillion course together on Sat 24 Jul.  It will be an all day course in Stellenbosch, presented by Johan - JdJ.

The event has been prompted by the Wild Coast trip which is a challenging tour and there are quite a few brand new bikes going (with riders and pillions attached to their computers).

Cost per couple will be :

• Paid Up Members - R250
• Non Members - R 300

First come first served with preference given to those going on the Wild Coast tour in August.

This course is ideal for improving rider/pillion confidence.  You will learn how to:

• mount and dismount easily and effortlessly
• control the bike as a team when doing slow manoeuvres
• sit and stand on the bike optimally
• accelerate and decelerate while standing
• execute emergency braking while riding off-road

For the rider, it is a revision of the 'Intro to Offroad' riding skills (this time with pillion), and for the pillion, it is an introduction to being part of the team rather than an add-on.
