Paul Muller. My wife, Madie, rides her own 650 GS. We live in Upington. Prefer riding dirt roads. Tar roads are boring, especially the first 400 km in any direction from Upington. Our baby will be in matric in 2008, so going on tours is no problem. If you come past here, please let us know, there are a lot of enthusiastic GS riders around.

I am new to on-road biking. I have an old Honda XR500R, which I use purely off-road, and have recently bought a Dakar, for commuting, and weekend excursions.

Adventure riding is my rescue from the hectic pressures of work; I've put 24,000km on the clock in two years, having done a Luderitz trip and a Transkei trip this year, both over 3,500 km's in 7 and 5 days respectively. My daughter of 15years did the Luderitz trip with me; my wife also rides with, but the conditions must be nice.
