Members who ride a Dakar

Hi, I am a 28 year old winemaker based in Stellies. Married and first one on it way. Have been threatening to buy a new bike for yonks (the 81 Yamaha XJ550 is getting a bit long in the tooth) and finally took the (actually-unafordable) plunge. I have had dozens of other old skedonk bikes other than the trusty 550 over the years and have spent plenty time on all sorts of surfaces. Looking forward to meeting some of you and to taking a few outrides with you. Christian Kuun
My name is Justin Bennetts and am a very keen biker, particularly off road trips on dual sport adventure bikes like my Dakar. I own and run Powerflow Exhausts Tokai and take pride in building the best exhaust systems available in the country
Hi, I'm Rhett Hammond, I've been biking just over a year now (12,000 kms under the belt) and am really enjoying the experience. I tend to ride solo but would like to meet a few people to to ride with on an impromptu basis. I usually go for road with a bit of dirt thrown in. Would like to do Cape Town to John o' Groats at some stage....
My name is Andy Lovegrove Very briefly...I was a rider in the UK for 5 years, but have not owned a bike since I came to Cape Town, a long time ago. I bought a Dakar in December, and I am delighted with it. I look forward to making new friends and improving my riding skills this year, and then getting out there to experience some of Africa's highlights up close and personal. I have three children, my son is doing a gap year in UK and my daughters are at school in Cape Town. See you on the road! :)
Nothing much except I like riding the open road on my own.
