Rattle in F650 Dakar exhaust

I've just done a trip to Sandbaai (216km) on the weekend, and when I stopped at the place I was going to stay I heard a weird rattling noise.  I  climbed off the bike and had a good listen, whilst it was idling, where the rattle was coming from.  It seems that it is coming from the exhaust pipe between the engine and the cat, sound like a little rock or something metal.

Has anyone had the same problem or something similar?  I am thinking of removing the cat and silencer and try to see if what is in there might come out with a few revs...

Any input would be appreciated!

Mounting rubbers?

Check all the rubber grommets on the mount points, they could be worn?

Checked the Grommets

I checked the grommets, they are all fine.  I started on removing the exhaust, but I couldn't  get the cat and the silencer apart at the joint behind the numberplate.
