This was a clubride and the captain of the day was Ian. We all met at the Engen Plattekloof and took off at 8:15. The plan was to go straight to the venue at Houwhoek for breakfast and then from there back towards town. It was most certainly an AMAZING turn up, a lot of pillions as well, riding right at the back it was an awesome picture viewing this long string of BMW motorbikes from behind on the way to Grabouw. After breakfast 10 bikes was going to do some off roading, we headed back towards Grabouw and took the "The Valley" turn off, this is a tar road that becomes gravel over the mountain and comes out right opposite the Arabella near Kleinmond. From here Russ decided to pick up the pace a bit on his own, then it was some more gravel towards Caledon. Here we got a bit wet but not too much...

This is an '''invitational ride''' - bring along a friend on whatever bike they have, not necessarily a BMW. Meet at the Engen, everything you need to know including the map to the meeting point and information on what to bring is at these links: * http://bmwmotorcycleclubcape.co.za/node/1 * http://bmwmotorcycleclubcape.co.za/faq#41n65 For those in the Southern Suburbs, there will be a rendezvouz at 08:30 at the Ladies Mile Engen.

This is a charity event. Dave will have stickers for riders to allow them to bring their bikes into the main arena.

Thus the Dixie's run was moved forward to this weekend (replacing the Villiersdorp ride). The Dixie's Run has a Vintage / Veteran theme. Hennie is thus requested to bring his R100RS out of retirement. Similarly ALL BMW riders are asked to bring their Vintage and Veteran bikes along for the ride.
