What threatened to be a wet ride turned out to be a pleasant
ride indeed, for most nice and cool for me a little cold
. A small group of 9 bikes and
one pillion we set off to Gordons bay via the N1 and R300. The coast road to
Rooiels was mainly dry with enough damp patches to remind us to be smooth.
We gathered for a re-group at the viewing point just before Rooiels continuing on through camera infested Kleinmond towards the R43. To my surprise there was little wind in Kleinmond, just proves that in Cape Town if the wind doesn’t blow, it rains. Left onto the R43 over the Houwhoek Pass back to the N2 and breakfast at the Houwhoek Farmstall where they were waiting for us, the service was good and prices were reasonable.
After Breakfast we headed through Elgin towards Franschoek with a re-group on Tweewaters Kloof Bridge, over the Franschoek pass, Hells Hoogte to Stellenbosch and back home. Thank you to Deon with assisting us with the sweeper duties, much appreciated.
All in all it was a good ride. If you have pictures please post of the BMW Club facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/pages/BMW-Motorcycle-Club-Cape/215307208491541
