The BMWMCCC is hosting a day ride Sunday 11th September to Hopefield.

 

 

aka - RIDE THE RAILROAD TRACKS.

When: This Sunday 11th September

Where:  Swartland Engen garage 08H00.

Briefing 08H15 then departure.

Return by the N7 passed Malmesbury.

NO BACK UP VEHICLE OR TRAILER -

COST : non paid-up club members pay R50,oo

club members no cost. lunch & fuel your account.

You must register for the ride. do not pitch up if your name is not on the list by Friday afternoon.

If yopu are a non member and this is your third ride (or more) you are expected to join the club ('cos by now it is costing you more than annual membership)

PILLION FRIENDLY

NOT SUITED TO FIRST TIME OUT RIDERS.

SUITED TO RELAXED RIDERS.

You can veg in front of the telly and watch the blow-by-blow recount of the Twin Towers tragedy.

You can watch the F1 Grand Prix live.

Or you can join a group of relaxed off-road riders and come spend a sunny day meeting the fringes of the sandveld and enjoying some startlingly beautiful coutnry-side.

Some of you are already under John Carr'as wing on off-road intro training.

You can stay in Hopefield to watch Autralia knock shit into Italy.

You will be home in time to watch the Ireland USA game at 18H00 and the FI Grand Prix re-play and the South Africa vs.Wales killer of a match.

Or you can give it a skip and wish you had come along when you read the trip report on Monday.

what can you expect:-

Some Andyman surprises.

Some water crossings.

Some sandy road

Lots n lots of good gravel.

a bit of history

Good company.

It is all doable, nothing exceptional.
