I'm looking for someone I can spend some with who is prepared to tutor me in basic TIG welding skills.  There seems to be no consistency in advice on any of the forums and I'm determined to crack this one.  I would be happy to just observe without imposing or getting in the way.

Anyone brave enough?

Please give me a shout.

Not a TIG welder myself

I'm not a TIG welder myself, but recently decided to teach myself basic arc/stick welding. I found this UK based website which covers arc, MIG, TIG and other types too:

If somebody does volunteer to teach you, let me know, I might be keen to watch too.

Cool

Thanks Bruce.  I'm a beginner stick welder but recently acquired a TIG kit for my inverter.  Spent about a week taking in all the video and web material I can and will probably brave up to giving it a stab on my own next week end if no tutors bite at this.  "Stand up, look up and speed up"
