Introduce yourself

I was introduced to the wonderful world of motorised two wheels early in 2009 when I got the cutest little Vespa (Italian and very pretty, hence my forum name "Bella") for commuting. Then hubby dearest came home one day with a 650 Twin (for commuting purposes, of course). As the saying goes, "what's mine is mine & what's yours is mine," so to cut a long story short, the garage currently houses an 800GS, 650GS and little Bella. Although we initially said that we got the bikes for easier commuting, I suspect it was really an attempt to ward off potential mid-life crisis. I prefer riding off-road to tar and while I quite enjoy mild technical sections that make you think a bit (the sort of stuff we did at Klipbokkop), loose rocky gravel is not my favourite, and probably won't be for quite a while either. Gavin and I love weekend outings, looking for the best way to connect good coffee shops via gravel ;-) This has meant, though, that exercise (cycling, running, surfski paddling) on weekends has taken a backseat, hence the need for a large kidney belt to keep the growing stomach in place ;-) - Karin
