Weather forecasting
Just for interest's sake - have a look at the website yr.no for nice weather forecasts with graphics etc and information on a lot of small towns as well
www.yr.no is not as accurate as www.weathersa.co.za
I find yr.no more accurate than weathersa.co za, it even shows Paternoster and Botrivier!
But check it out yourselves...
www.windguru.com is also fairly good (for the coast and dams only) but consistantly shows cool temps than weathersa.
Add http://www.windfinder.com/forecast/cape_town_airport# to the mix.
Now you have at least 4 sites that do not aggree on anything.
Weather forecasting in this country is not an exact science, me thinks
Yes, check all four, and then you plan your trip between the forecasts, like a beginners ride between the cones!
Something like that.
Or ignore all the above and look out the window.
Much of a guessing game though with fingers crossed.
yr.no 's prediction a week ago for this weekend's bad weather was out by 2 hours (when it was supposed to start raining) and max temp for Sunday was out by 1 degree.
Vloekskoot?
yr.no, windguru to an extent, and Etv and most other forcasters use the same raw weather modeling data from the same source based in europe ( Germany) its how it gets intepreted thats sometimes different.
