I see on the other forum you
I see on the other forum you are looking at Thor and Diadora. Why not check out the Fox Comp 5 in the same price range. I was also looking at cheaper boots and once I tried the Comp 5's on, I was sold. I cant comment on the two you are looking at, because I havent worn them (I only fitted the Thor's), but I am thouroughly happy with my Comp 5's. The Thor Quadrants and the others I tried were too MX for me. The Comp 5 is comfortable, has a full sole with tread pattern, water and rain have never bothered me and you can wear them all day and walk a lot without the typical blisters/chaffieng of MX boots.

Thanks, will do. How much
Thanks, will do. How much did you pay for the Fox, and where did you buy it from?
From what I see they are about a R1000 more than the Thor & Diadora

Got mine at Droomers Yamaha
Got mine at Droomers Yamaha in Bellville. Willem is a salesman of bloody note and always manages to wangle a price a bit. I paid R2100. A little up on your budget and I know R300 difference is R300 difference but, like Willem said, "You dont have to buy them, but just try them on and feel"...... (I had a (R1500 budget limit planned)
Use it. Don't use it. You know.....whatever.

Thanks Christian, I got me
Thanks Christian, I got me the Fox Comp5 from Yamaha in Helderberg. They were very helpful.
I had them on yesterday on a ride through the Overberg and they are very comfortable.
I just need to adjust my gear lever to accommodate them.
